About

Gus was rescued from a small rural shelter. He is about 6 months old and weighs about 44 pounds now. He will be a large dog when full grown. Gus is very child friendly and currently lives with two young children. He loves other dogs and plays but also has learned puppy manners and knows when it's time to calm down and just hang out.

He loves to snuggle with both his human family and the other dogs in the house. He loves to meet new people and dogs and is very friendly. He is crate trained and does an excellent job in it both during the day and at night. He is smart, learning commands as he grows and is learning to walk well on a leash with the family.

Gus is the perfect family dog and would do well with a family with children and another dog! He does enjoy his time in the yard and would likely need a fenced yard for exercise given his size.

We are a RESCUE GROUP, not a shelter, and all of our animals are in foster homes. To start the adoption process, email us at [email protected] requesting an application. Submitting an application does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs. Your current or past dogs must be inside dogs who have been spayed/neutered and are on heartworm prevention.

All of the dogs in our program are inside dogs and are completely vetted including all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, free of internal parasites, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention before adoption. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records or personal references, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, and a home visit.
