Dougie is a puppy who was rescued from a small rural shelter where he was brought in as a stray. Dougie is about 9 months old and weighs 44 lbs right now. He will be larger when full grown. Dougie gets along well with the other dogs in his foster home. He is a typical puppy and enjoys running, playing with toys, and getting some kisses. Dougie rides well in a car, enjoys sleeping in his crate, and doesn't pull when on a walk. He also enjoys going for a sail and hanging out on the family boat. Please note that we don't recommend Dougie to families with children under 5. We are a RESCUE GROUP, not a shelter, and all of our animals are in foster homes. To start the adoption process, email us at [email protected] requesting an application. Submitting an application does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs. Your current or past dogs must be inside dogs who have been spayed/neutered and are on heartworm prevention. All of the dogs in our program are inside dogs and are completely vetted including all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, free of internal parasites, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention before adoption. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records or personal references, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, and a home visit.
